Terms of service

By creating an account or using Meridian, you agree to these terms. If you are using Meridian on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these terms. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Meridian is an AI-powered thinking workspace. We provide a structured environment for exploring problems, mapping assumptions, and organising thinking before committing to execution.

Meridian's AI functionality is provided via Anthropic's Claude models. The questions and observations Meridian produces are tools for thinking, not professional advice. They do not constitute legal, financial, medical, or any other form of regulated professional advice. You are solely responsible for all decisions you make.

You must be at least 18 years old to use Meridian. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You may not share your account with others. Team plans include a defined number of seats. Each seat is for one named individual.

You may use Meridian for lawful business thinking and decision-making. You may not use Meridian to:

• —Process information that you do not have the legal right to use.
• —Attempt to extract, reverse-engineer, or reproduce Meridian's AI prompts or underlying systems.
• —Circumvent any usage limits, access controls, or security measures.
• —Resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercialise access to Meridian without our written consent.
• —Upload content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights.
• —Attempt to use Meridian as a substitute for regulated professional advice in a context where such advice is legally required.

All content you create in Meridian — canvas nodes, problem statements, uploaded documents — remains your property. You grant Meridian Ltd a limited licence to process and store your content solely for the purpose of providing the service. We do not claim any ownership of your canvas content, and we do not use it to train AI models.

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance. All prices are in GBP and include VAT where applicable. Payment is processed by Stripe.

You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods, except where required by applicable law.

We reserve the right to change our pricing. We will provide at least 30 days' notice of any price increase. If you do not accept the new price, you may cancel before the new price takes effect.

All paid plans include a 14-day free trial. No payment method is required to start a trial. At the end of the trial, you will be asked to provide payment details to continue. If you do not provide payment details, your account will revert to read-only access until you subscribe.

Meridian, including its software, AI models, design, and documentation, is the intellectual property of Meridian Ltd and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws.

These terms do not grant you any right to use the Meridian name, logo, or branding except as explicitly permitted in writing.

We aim to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features of Meridian at any time. For material changes that reduce functionality, we will provide reasonable advance notice to active subscribers.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Meridian Ltd's total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to these terms or the service is capped at the total fees you have paid to Meridian Ltd in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Meridian Ltd is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

You may export all of your canvas data at any time in Markdown or JSON format. We will provide this data within 7 days of a written request. On account closure, we will provide a final export on request, after which all data is deleted in accordance with our privacy policy.

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, fail to pay outstanding amounts, or if we are required to do so by law. On termination, your right to access the service ends immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will do so, including intellectual property rights, liability limitations, and dispute resolution clauses.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute that cannot be resolved between us informally will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
